We have found it extremely valuable to shoot very short films that explain emotions, context and facts. A trick is to use the film as bonus material that nobody expected. We use it to summarize a test session of a new conceptual design, an innovation lab event, a workshop... Just about anything where you want to capture the moment users and managers experience your design or your work.
A film can also explain a concept, but that is a whole different story. Now we are addressing capturing insights, emotions and context in moments, just to get shared understanding. And when the film goes viral with the client, we know that we have succeeded.
